Matri Moni (founded by Alexandra Rekko & Anna Babèlva) developed the story of Vogelvrij, an immersive theater and sculpture experience. This performance was funded by Amarte Fonds.

Fertility does not exist without mortality. For anyone ever born, the oldest bond in the world is that of mother and child. A mother gives life and nourishes new life; where one life grows outward another life is bound to slow down. It is the inescapable but essential circle of our existence and the most beautiful gift from one being to another. 

The performance captured the journey between Mother and Child, Life and Death, in honour of the Egg.
