During the album release ‘Galbi’ of Link & Herralt, multidisciplinary art collective Matri Moni presented itself during a visually captivating performance at Podium Victorie in Alkmaar.

Matri Moni is founded together with artist / director Alexandra Rekko and the collective works as both catalyst and visual storyteller. With the performance ‘In Nomine Matri’ two female priests disguised in white costume presented the audience ‘the Holy Bread’, guided by the words ‘In Nomine Matri’. The project aimed to address patriarchic stories and imagery used to retell stories of the past, and the role of the Woman within these beliefs.

This performance involved concept development, art direction and costume design. Costumes were designed to make performers a ‘walking canvas’ for visual projections. Visuals were made by VJ Robert Dender.
